What a result! The best performance so far from the boys in my opinion.Against a decent team we produced some scintillating football ,particularly during the last 20 mins.Walshy got us off to a great start inside 2 mins capitalising on the keepers mistake but he is proving to be a very competent striker, this being his 5th start in a row up front. The 1st half was a very close affair with both teams going close, will just missing the target & walshy hitting the woodwork just before half time. The 2nd half continued much the same untill halfway through when liam got his customary goal, very much needed at the time as the game was still finely balanced & gave us a bit of breathing space.Soon after we got that decisive 3rd with walshy showing amazing commitment assisting while sat on his backside & ben kellett firing a tremendous strike from the edge of the box.The remainder of the game saw us produce some of our best foofball yet & showed just how cynical we are learning to be.10 mins from time saw liam score the goal of the game with a trademark volley from just outside the area giving the keeper no chance.2 mins from time saw what was for me the most satisfying goal of the day,a great team goal, walshy weaving his magic down the left, getting to the byline & pulling hit back for pascal on the edge of the 6 yard box who squared it for will who squared it for bk who almost apologetically side footed it home to put them out of their misery. That goal just proved how unselfish we are at the moment & just how much it means to the boys to bring each other into the game. There was still a magic moment left though in the dying seconds when brayton were awarded a penalty after chad thought he`d taken up basketball. The brayton player couldnt have taken a better penalty only for marcus to pull off an incredible save.Clean sheets still in tact thanks to him, chad you owe him a 50p mix.Man of the match went to reece who was as tireless as ever but other brilliant performances to note from cammy, robbie, max & will.We have a fantastic team spirit at the moment both on & off the field & all the parents & grandparents showed their worth by not only travelling to selby but applauding the boys off at the end was really quite emotional. Thanks for your support so far & long may it continue.Mick
