The 2009/10 Season

Again this season the boys played some great football at times, and with a few of the results going the other way ,could and maybe should have finished higher up the league divsion two table.
Some of the players and the coach have decided to move on at the end of the season ,which is a great shame .
The core members of the squad will be back next season and will be determined to improve.
How the current team started

Most of the current squad has been together from day one,and Steve Burden has been coaching them since 2005 when most of the players where at the ages 7/8.Steve had two assistants back then Paul/Ivan but when Steve`s team moved up into the next age group(under9`s)Paul/Ivan moved into coaching the 7/8`s.In 2006 Jules Woolley came into help out and soon became assistant coach and in this season he helped to add players to the squad mostly boys from Lofthouse Gate school. The team had a resonable season playing mostly none league friendy matches.Now the team have entered the Charles Rice League the boys are growing in confidence and size, lets hope this good progress continues.
The 2008/9 Season

The team have played consistently well all season and with a bit more luck could have got some better results.
But to finish third in their first season of 11a side football is a proud achievementas well as gaining promotion.
If the same squad stick together this coming season they should do well,although things will be a bit harder now they have been promoted into the second division.
